This English class has been my favorite English class yet. We
had a lot of projects but they were easy and quick. There weren’t a lot of long
projects and that is what was good about this class. The beginning of the class
was pretty slow and boring but when we continued on with the class it became
easy and entertaining. I wish we did more of the in class discussions and less
of the STTP project. This course can be better by eliminating the STTP project
and finding a new project to fill the void. This class can also be improved by
using the Socratic seminar more at the end rather than the beginning because we
all were more comfortable at the end. My overall experience with the class was
good and it showed me a lot about what an English class can do to better your skills
in a way that most classes don’t. This class was also good because of the way
that we did things, we never just sat there and read books mindlessly for the
entire course like some English classes. Most of the things we did in this
class were not boring and we found ways to enjoy English class for once in my
high school career. The overall experience of this class was good however it
could be improved to make it even better. This course showed me that English can
be interesting and that I can learn from English class and not be bored the
entire time.
